Hongqi Philippines keeps up with the fast-changing electrified segment in the Philippines by updating key offerings. The E-HS9 EV SUV and E-QM5 EV sedan both get an additional trim that gives them longer range. They also teased an upcoming SUV that may put the brand in more garages nationwide.

The new flagship model of the brand in the Philippines is the Hongqi E-HS9 Long Range. Its range has increased to 515 kilometers on a single charge, accompanied by new 22-inch rims and a 16-speaker Bose Sound System. All else like the Nappa leather seats, 2nd-row power adjustable seats, panoramic sunroof, and 4-zone automatic climate control are still here. All of that comes in a package priced at P 6,480,000.

Sitting as the gateway to Hongqi is the E-QM5 EV sedan. This one is a bit more vanilla as it’s updated to have a longer range of 560 km on a single charge. All other amenities are the same as the previous top trim. It’s priced at P 1,880,000.

Hongqi didn’t mention the upgrades on the battery or electric motor (if any) that resulted in the longer range for both vehicles.

Beside the E-HS9 SUV is the upcoming Hongqi HS3. It will be the first plug-in hybrid of the brand in the country as their other offerings are either full-electric or have internal combustion engines. There’s no image price yet for the HS3 but Hongqi said it will make its official debut later in the year.
