Ten people were injured after a train collided with a passenger van in Calamba City, Laguna on Tuesday.
According to a police report, a Philippine National Railway train hit a white Nissan Urvan that was attempting to cross the tracks in Barangay Parian at 4:50 a.m.
Investigation revealed that the van was dragged through the railway, hitting three houses and a parked tricycle in the process. Among those injured were residents living along the railway as well as passengers of the van and the tricycle. 
The victims were immediately rushed to the JP Rizal Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. Authorities are looking into the incident. – With Joy Cantos/PSN
