BYD Sold Its 10,000th Vehicle in the Philippines

BYD Cars Philippines, under ACMobility, is celebrating the delivery of its 10,000th New Energy Vehicle (NEV) in the country. Led by bestselling units like the Sealion 6 and Atto 3, the 10,000th model sold is different – it’s a BYD eMAX 7, the brand’s fully electric Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV) that was revealed at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show in April.

The brand-new unit was handed over to Adrian Goh on April 30. It was Goh’s fourth BYD purchase, showing how much the tech industry executive believes in the relatively new brand.

To commemorate the milestone, BYD is offering exclusive weekend-only deals from May 16 to 18, 2025, at all dealerships nationwide. New customers can enjoy savings of up to P10,000 and a P1,000 charging coupon. Meanwhile, existing BYD vehicle owners purchasing another unit are eligible for up to P20,000 in discounts and a P2,000 charging coupon.

“Selling the 10,000th BYD NEV in the Philippines is a testament to the Filipino market’s growing trust in our brand,” said Bob Palanca, Managing Director of BYD Cars Philippines. “Each vehicle sold symbolizes a shared belief in cleaner, smarter mobility. This milestone energizes our commitment to lead the electric transformation.”

Being the sole full-electric nameplate, the BYD eMAX 7 is a standout in the MPV market, offering a compelling mix of sustainability, space, and smart tech. Designed for modern families and fleet use, it touts a spacious seven-seat configuration with flexible interior arrangements and premium comfort features. The eMP platform promises a smooth and silent driving experience while maximizing energy efficiency.

With a driving range of up to 505 kilometers on a single charge, the eMAX 7 is pegged for long trips and daily commutes alike. It’s powered by BYD’s proprietary Blade Battery technology, known for its industry-leading safety, durability, and energy density. The MPV also features advanced safety systems, a panoramic sunroof, and a smart infotainment system that ensures passengers stay connected and entertained.

James Ng, Managing Director of BYD Singapore and Philippines, along with key executives including Aiffy Liu and Jolo Aranas, joined the ceremonial handover. “This is an exceptional milestone for BYD and ACMobility. Delivering 10,000 NEVs in just over a year reflects the momentum we’re building,” said Liu, Country Head of BYD Philippines.

The brand’s growth in the Philippines is also driven by an expanding lineup within just over a year of operating under ACMobility. The company’s growing dealership network also helps the growth campaign, expected to reach 77 by the end of 2025. ACMobility and BYD continue to invest in infrastructure and customer service to support this rapid adoption.
