LTO extends validity of student permits, driver’s licenses

The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the validity of student permits as well as licenses for drivers and conductors until September 30.

In an advisory on Wednesday, the LTO said the validity of student permits as well as driver’s licenses and conductor’s licenses which expired during the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine in the following regions will be extended:

  • Region 2 
  • Region 3
  • Region 4-A
  • Region 4-B
  • Region 5
  • Region 6
  • Region 7
  • Region 9
  • Region 10
  • Region 11
  • CAR
  • Caraga

Meanwhile, the LTO also announced that vehicles with license plate numbers ending in 6 and 7 in the following regions will be extended until August 31 and September 30, respectively:

  • Region 7
  • Region 9
  • Region 10

The LTO said no penalty will be collected for renewal transactions for motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6 and 7 during the period.
