WATCH: Jeepney rams motorcycle riders in Manila

Nine people were injured after a public utility jeepney rammed several motorcycle riders in Manila on Monday.

In a closed-circuit television footage, some motorcycle riders along with other vehicles can be seen stopping at the corner of Recto Avenue and Masangkay Street because of a red light. A few seconds later, the jeepney suddenly crashed into two motorcycle riders.

The driver said that the vehicle’s brake system malfunctioned during the incident. The driver claimed that he did not see the riders when he attempted to crash his vehicle into a column when he noticed that the brakes were not working.
