Check out the proposed toll rates for Skyway Stage 3

In case you haven’t heard, the Skyway Stage 3 is now open to vehicular traffic, and you can actually drive through the entire 18-kilometer expressway from Buendia to Balintawak for free until Feb. 1.

But since its opening last Jan. 15, many motorists who already tried the expressway or even those who are planning to pass through Skyway 3 have the same question in mind: how much would it cost for you to enjoy this newly-opened toll road?

Well, the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) recently posted on its website the proposed toll rates by San Miguel Corporation for the Skyway Stage 3. Here’s a quick look at the entire toll matrix inclusive of VAT:

As you can see, the proposed toll rates for the elevated expressway from Buendia to Balintawak (and vice versa) range from P110 to P274. However, it’s worth mentioning that these fees are not final and are still subject for approval.

So for instance, if you are planning to enjoy the benefit of the Skyway Stage 3 from Buendia to Quirino or Plaza Azul, then you’ll have to pay P110 while those who would pass through from NLEX to Quezon Avenue or E. Rodriguez would have to shell out P133.

But if you would like to enjoy the entire stretch of the elevated expressway from Buendia to Balintawak (or vice versa), then the you’ll have to pay P274 before doing so.

So there you have it. While these proposed toll rates are still awaiting approval from the TRB, then you might want to check out the Skyway 3 while the elevated expressway is still toll-free so you can see for yourself the difference between SMC’s newly-opened toll road and EDSA.
