4 dead, 3 hurt in Quezon road mishap

Four persons died while three others were hurt in a vehicular accident in Tagkawayan, Quezon on Wednesday morning.

According to the police report, the vehicular accident occurred when a 10-wheeler wing van truck veered to the opposite lane and crashed against an ambulance of the Department of Health along Quirino Highway, Brgy. San Vicente at around 9:30 a.m. 

The driver and two of the ambulance’s passengers died on the spot while a 12-year-old boy passed away while being treated at a hospital. Three victims who sustained injuries were rushed to the Ma. L Eleazar Memorial District Hospital.

The truck driver, identified as Gerardo Bandales, is facing charges of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide, multiple physical injuries and  damage to properties. – Michelle Zoleta
