One died while 10 others were hurt after a pickup truck fell into a 15-meter ravine in remote sitio Malanas, Barangay Poblacion, Malibcong town in Abra late Wednesday night.
According to Abra police, a white Ford Ranger fell into the ravine after the driver, identified as Erwin Quising, lost control of the steering wheel while negotiating on a downhill road.
Quising and all of his unidentified passengers were rushed to the Abra Provincial Hospital at the provincial capital of Benguet, roughly four hours away from the site of mishap. 
The driver did not reach the hospital alive. Four of the victims were confined at the hospital while the remaining passengers were sent home after treatment. – Artemio Dumlao
