A portion of Aurora Boulevard in Cubao, Quezon City will be closed to traffic for a week beginning on Saturday to give way for the replacement of LRT-2’s elevator units.

According to a traffic advisory released by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Aurora Boulevard’s westbound lane between Oxford to Imperial streets will be closed from January 25 to February 1.

During the closure from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m., the private contractor of the Department of Transportation will transfer the escalator units from a truck to the Cubao station using a mobile crane.

The MMDA advised motorists that vehicles from Aurora Boulevard-Cubao going to Manila should turn right to Yale or Oxford street, turn right to Columbia street, left to Imperial or West Point street then back to Aurora Boulevard.
