Female motor rider pinned to death as jeepney loses brakes

A female motorcyle rider died in an eight-vehicle collision along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City on Saturday.

According to a police report, the incident occurred after a public utility jeepney driven by Wilfredo Paylan lost its brakes while traversing EDSA, eventually crashing into other vehicles. 

The casualty was identified as 25-year-old Grace Ann Pajemago, who died after being caught between the bumper of the jeepney and an UV Express.

Benjamin Celestra, the driver of the UV Express, was injured in the vehicle smashup which also involved a Subaru Hatchback, Nissan Almera, Mitsubishi Outlander, Toyota Innova, and another PUV.
