WATCH: Retired DPWH official hurt in Tuguegarao collision

A retired official of the Department of Public Works and Highways was injured in a multiple-vehicle collision in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on Friday.

Initial investigation revealed that Engr. Domingo Enciso, 65, was driving an Isuzu D-Max when he rear-ended a tricycle while attempting to overtake at the right side of the road around 7:15 a.m. yesterday.

The tricycle, driven by 55-year-old Bernardo Ferrer, then hit a parked Mitsubishi Adventure while Enciso crashed against a Mitsubishi Mirage after the collision.

Both drivers were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

In a CCTV footage by Angelica Lim-Calimaran, the video shows the pickup truck speeding through traffic but eventually hit the back of the tricycle while attempting to overtake at the right side of the road. – With Raymond Catindig/STAR
