Motorists were stuck in traffic while others were forced to brave the flooded portion of Chino Roces Avenue in Makati as severe tropical storm Ineng inundated parts of Luzon Saturday morning.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the flood along one of Makati’s busiest roads reached 19 inches at 9:30 a.m., leaving several vehicles along with other commuters in standstill traffic.
As of 12:30 p.m., however, the MMDA said that the stretch of Chino Roces Avenue was passable to all types of vehicles as the flood subsided down to eight inches. 
During the height of the Ineng heavy downpour, some parts of Metro Manila were also submerged in floodwater such as Quirino corner Taft Avenue in Manila, Brgy. New Zaniga corner Boni Ortigas St., San Rafael corner Sikap Plainview, and the southbound lane of C5 Diego Silang.
