A driver died after his six-wheeler truck fell into a culvert along Baguio Circumferential Road in Barangay Balacbac on Tuesday afternoon.
Twenty-four-year-old driver Laurence Cura Centino was reportedly traversing a steep downhill along the road when the vehicle’s brakes failed – causing it to plunge into the canal around 12:30 p.m. It took almost an hour for rescuers to extract Centino’s body from the wreckage.
Meanwhile, the truck’s helpers were able to jump off the vehicle right before it crashed.
