Davao road crash kills entrepreneur, new graduate

Two people died on the spot while two others were injured after a car crashed into a bus along Quimpo Boulevard in Davao City on Friday.

According to a report by the Philippine News Agency, Janilou Faye Rosales, who just graduated from San Pedro College on Thursday and Melody Ann Sotelo Ybanez, an entrepreneur, were killed instantly when the sedan driven by Ybanez collided with a bus at 4:35 a.m.

Investigation revealed that the the Mazda sedan was heading towards McArthur Highway when it crossed the opposite lane, crashing against the passenger bus that was driven by Ricky Aban Deloso.

Authorities found that Ybanez’s driver’s license already expired on September 27, 2018.

Possible charges will be filed against the driver who was temporarily detained for investigation. – With report from PNA
