Pandacan Bridge closed starting August 3

The Tomas Claudio Bridge in Pandacan, Manila will be closed to motorists beginning August 3 to pave the way for the construction of the Skyway Stage 3 Elevated Expressway Project.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) general manager Jojo Garcia said that the bridge will be inaccessible to motorists until February 2020 which is expected to affect around 12,000 vehicles.

The STAR reported that motorists are advised to take alternate routes.

“Parking will not be allowed in the vicinity of the bridge. Traffic enforcers will tow vehicles parked in the area,” Garcia told reporters.

Meanwhile, the MMDA said that a portion of the bridge from Valenzuela Street to Baeta Street will be opened to residents. – With Robertzon Ramirez/STAR
