Bentley celebrates performance heritage with new Continental GT Supersports

New Bentley Continental GT Supersports brings significant performance enhancements designed for a more direct and engaging driving experience

Bentley Motors introduces the new Continental GT Supersports, the most driver-focused version of the model to date with rear-wheel drive, a two-seat cabin, and lightweight construction. Debuting as only the fourth Supersports model in 100 years, it brings significant performance enhancements designed for a more direct and engaging driving experience.

Only 500 examples of the new Continental GT Supersports will be produced.

Powering the model is a pure combustion 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. With larger turbos and strengthened crankcase and cylinder heads, it produces 666 hp and 800 Nm of torque.

An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, redeveloped for the Continental GT Supersports to deliver sharper and more responsive gear shifts, courses the power to the rear wheels.

The new Continental GT Supersports has a two-seat cabin fitted with lightweight materials.

The combination allows the car to accelerate from rest to 100 km/h in only 3.7 seconds and reach a 310 km/h top speed.

Carbon ceramic brakes, new 22-inch lightweight forged wheels developed with Manthey Racing, and a full-length Akrapovic titanium exhaust system further elevate the Continental GT Supersport’s capabilities.

An electronic limited-slip differential assisted by brake torque vectoring, rear-wheel steering, and a rear track wider by 16 mm over the Continental GT make the Supersports more agile and stable. Calibrations for the steering, suspension, traction management and ESC systems have been modified as well, contributing to heightened performance.

Weight reduction is a central part of the car’s design, resulting in the Continental GT Supersports to drop below 2,000 kg. Its rear seats have been removed along with some sound insulation. A new carbon fiber roof cuts weight further and lowers the car’s center of gravity.

The Continental GT Supersports’ weight reduction is matched by aerodynamic elements focused on performance. The car’s front bumper features the largest splitter ever fitted to a roadgoing Bentley and has channels that feed cool air to the front brakes and engine. New dive planes, front fender blades, carbon fiber side sills, a rear diffuser, and a fixed rear wing together produce more than 300 kg of extra downforce compared with the Continental GT Speed.

In the cabin, the two lightweight sports seats are mounted lower, leading to a sportier driving position. Replacing the rear seats is a carbon fiber tub. Additional high-gloss carbon fiber veneers and a blend of leather and Dinamica create a well-crafted and purposeful interior. “Supersports” embroidery and badges, including an individually numbered plate on the center consol, complete the cabin features.

Bentley first used the name “Super Sports” in 1925 on its lighter, more powerful version of the 3 Litre — the first Bentley to reach 160 km/h. The “Supersports” name returned in 2009 for a two-seat model based on the first-generation Continental GT, and again in 2017 for an even more powerful version.

The latest Continental GT Supersports continues the heritage with an intensified focus on handling, weight reduction, and control. Its development started with “Project Mildred,” a secret test mule built in 2024 to study how a rear-wheel-drive, lightweight Continental GT would perform.
