Black Rhino Philippines and Hoonigan unveil global campaign featuring new livery and the 2025 Toyota Tamaraw Build

Black Rhino Philippines (Wheel Gallery Inc.) proudly unveiled its latest global advertising campaign at the 2025 Manila Auto Salon, held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City.

This campaign represents a landmark collaboration with Hoonigan (Wheel Pros), the parent company of Black Rhino Wheels, merging world-class motorsport design with the bold off-road spirit of the Philippines.

The new Black Rhino livery—developed at Hoonigan’s Los Angeles headquarters—features GPS coordinates marking the Philippines, officially making the country the launch point of a global series. Future Black Rhino builds from different regions will carry their own coordinates, creating a worldwide map of the Black Rhino identity.

Fun facts about the collaboration

1. The Philippines leads the world in Black Rhino sales outside the United States. The Philippines has consistently been the No. 1 market for Black Rhino Wheels. Filipino 4×4, overlanding, and off-road enthusiasts have driven global demand for many years.

2. The SOL Wheel: A Tribute to the Philippine Sun The featured Black Rhino SOL wheel design—used on the 2025 Toyota Tamaraw and Toyota Liteace—derives its name from the word “Sol,” meaning sun. The concept was a collaborative effort between Sam Liuson – Black Rhino Philippines; Ryan Gallagher – General Manager, Hoonigan; Eric Greiving – Product Director of Wheels, Hoonigan. The design pays tribute to the sun of the Philippine flag, embedding Filipino pride into each wheel.

3. The 2025 Toyota Tamaraw: A Filipino Homage to the Hoonitruck The 2025 Toyota Tamaraw, produced by BR Philippines (Wheel Gallery Inc.) in collaboration with Atoy Customs, draws inspiration from the late Ken Block’s iconic Hoonitruck. The build fuses aggressive motorsport energy with a uniquely Filipino perspective—honoring Block’s legacy while carving a new chapter for local automotive creativity.

FROM HOONIGAN Ryan Gallagher, General Manager of Hoonigan, expressed strong support for the long-standing partnership: “The partnership between Black Rhino/Hoonigan and Sam Liuson along with the entire Black Rhino Philippines team has made a tremendous impact on our brand across the globe over the past 18 years. We’re incredibly excited for Wheel Gallery to showcase some of our newest and yet-to-be-released Black Rhino wheel designs in the Philippines!”
