MMDA fines 80 drivers in QC

Around 80 motorists were apprehended by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) for illegal parking and other violations during the opening of classes in Quezon City on Monday.

Vehicles that were illegally parked in the periphery of the Corazon Aquino Elementary School, Bataan Hills National High School, and Ramon Magsaysay High School were towed by the MMDA.

During the first three hours of the operation, MMDA’s Task Force Special Operations netted 21 unattended vehicles and 12 illegally parked vehicles.

Traffic personnel also caught 21 motorcycle riders without helmets, three pedestrians violating traffic signs, and a fish ball cart causing traffic in the area. – With reporting from Lordeth Bonilla/Pilipino Star Ngayon
