Mercedes-Benz wants you to check out the GLA and GLB virtually

The Auto Nation Group (ANG), the exclusive distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the Philippines, sets foot at the virtual edition of the Manila International Auto Show called MIAS Wired.

The highlights for the Three-Pointed Star brand are none other than its new models, the GLA and GLB SUVs, which were introduced this year.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA is the marque’s entry-level SUV, built atop the Modular Front Architecture (MFA). It’s now on its second-generation, boasting a more refined and expressive design than its predecessor. It’s also now taller than the outgoing model.

For those who want a better-looking GLA, Mercedes-Benz also offers the AMG Line, which features a diamond radiator grille, 19-inch light-alloy wheels, and polished aluminum roof rails.

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLA features a black roof liner and Artico Dinamica microfiber seats. It also has flexible seating, with a 40/20/40 second-row configuration to allow expansion of the cargo area. The crown of the cabin is the brand’s latest Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system that features intelligent voice assistant and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity.

Under the hood, the GLA 200 AMG Line comes with a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood. It produces up to 163hp and 250Nm of torque, sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with selectable drive modes.

Also highlighted is the Mercedes-Benz GLB, available as a seven-seater for the first time in the Philippines. It also sits atop the MFA platform and boasted as the “most versatile compact SUV” in its class by Mercedes-Benz.

Cabin features are similar to the GLA, albeit offering more passenger capacity with its third row. That means it also carries the brand’s latest MBUX, along with a bevy of driver-assist systems.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA and GLB are both available in all Mercedes-Benz showrooms but you can also know more about these two German SUVs via the virtual showroom at MIAS Wired.
