The Land Transportation Office (LTO) has extended the validity of vehicle registration in order to avoid congestion in its offices amid the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.

In an advisory issued on Monday, the LTO said that the registration validity of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7 and 8 will be extended until October 30, 2020 while those ending in 9 and 0 will be given until December 31, 2020.

The agency said that it has issued an extension in order to prevent overcrowding in its offices as more motorists are expected to renew their expired or expiring vehicle registrations.
