A truck driver died after he was crushed by the concrete girder he was transporting following an incident in Quezon City past midnight Sunday.
According to a witness, the incident occurred when the concrete girder slid and penetrated the truckhead after the driver slammed on his brakes with full force to give way to a passing vehicle along E. Rodriguez.
Rescue personnel had to extract the body of the driver inside the mangled vehicle.
