The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the reconstruction of the Labi Bridge along the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road.

The DPWH said that the old Labi Bridge had to be replaced after perennial flooding spawned by Typhoons Kabayan, Lando, and Nona in 2015 severely affected its structural integrity.

“With the opening of the newly-replaced Labi Bridge, we are hoping to provide not just stronger infrastructure but more importantly faster transport of goods and services to aid in the emerging economic activity in the region,” Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said.
